The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Ride to Cure Diabetes is a weekend-long fund raising event for riders. Participants take part in safety seminars, planned excursions and team building activities aside from the ride for a cause itself. Riders from around the world join this ride for a cause because of three things that JDRF offers:

  1. Various fund raising and mileage options for riders
  2. Training conducted by a USA-certified cycling coach
  3. Riding destinations that riders of all fitness levels can participate in

On his second year as a participant of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Ride to Cure Diabetes, Mr. Lee Olive, with the help of the members of the community, raised $4,450 for the research foundation. According to the Charlotte, NC personal injury attorney, it was a very fulfilling experience because he not only helped fund the research for a cure for diabetes, but also reached his personal training goal in a destination cycling adventure.

He highly recommends other riders to join the Ride to Cure Diabetes so they can raise more money and increase awareness about the foundation and what it is doing for diabetes patients.
