Charlotte hosted it’s 98 annual Good Fellows Luncheon

Charlotte NC, December 10th, called to order their 98th annual luncheon. The memorials, honoraria and collection of checks totaled $458,807, over $60,000 more than last year. Since 1917, this group of Charlotte business men have been donating money for the working poor. Olive Law Firm, Charlotte’s top personal injury attorneys, sponsored a table at the event.  All were encouraged to not complete their check until after the presentation. Carols were sung by the MasterSingers of St. Peter’s, a video seen, and a few stories shared by Mark Reed of Charlotte Country Day School and Tom Skains of Piedmont Natural Gas, both of whom visited families helped by the Fellows’ money this year.

Some members have been attending for over 65 years. George Ivey has been at the Good Fellows events for 70 years, since 1947.  To donate, or get more information on Good Fellows: www.goodfellowsclub.org. Olive Law Firm is active in Charlotte NC community events. They are also doing their annual Christmas charity with the Salvation Army where the olive law firm and sponsoring 14 angels.
