Questions varied and covered a wide range of topics including bankruptcy, consumer , contract, criminal, employment, estate, family, tax, and housing law. Although lawyers were there to give advice, volunteers were covered under malpractice insurance and no attorney-client relationships were formed.
The Ask-A-Lawyer Day was held at the offices of Legal Services of Southern Piedmonth and Legal Aid of North Carolina in 1431 Elizabeth Avenue Charlotte, NC 28204. “This was an opportunity to help answer questions and get out in the community to help others.
